With this in mind we used a blend of 4 different types of whey protein (micro ultra filtered whey protein concentrate, micro ultra filtered whey protein isolate, ion exchanged whey protein isolate, and hydrolyzed whey protein isolate), egg albumen and calcium caseinate. Not bad for 1996. Now it is the 21st century and we have made a few alterations in our formula. Technology has enabled us to replace the calcium caseinate with the more readily digested micellar casein. We also fortified Pro Blend 55 with extra glutamine and BCAA's to aid the body's ability to recover. This formula guarantees that your muscles will have the amino acids available when they need them whether it is 10-30 minutes after you get done training (hydrolyzed whey protein isolate), 30-50 minutes (micro ultra filtered whey protein isolate and ion exchanged whey protein isolate), 50-80 minutes (micro ultra filtered whey protein concentrate), 80-110 minutes (egg albumen) or 110-240 minutes (micellar casein).
